Cape Town Beaches

The Western Cape beaches are a popular inclusion in any southern African safari, with glorious white sands and sheltered alcoves. If you are looking for something a little less crowded, the quaint town of Paternoster offers gorgeous seclusion, amazing dining opportunities and a long flat beach, perfect for stretching your legs in solitude.  Similarly, Buffels Bay in Knysna is a treat for nature-lovers, with dolphins complimenting the lovely natural landscapes of the Goukamma Nature Reserve during spring.

 

Indian Ocean Beaches

KwaZulu-Natal’s Durban South, and Ballito beaches are a playground for families and especially surfers, with warm waters, great waves and a friendly vibe. In the north of this lush province, Sodwana Bay is a top international dive site, located in an immaculately preserved marine habitat. Cape Vidal, near the World Heritage site of St Lucia, is ideal for fishing, boating, whale watching and photography.

 

Namibian Beaches
